The Women’s Worlds (WM) Congress<\/strong> is an international and interdisciplinary event that brings together women and men from different fields of academia and activism (women’s, feminist and social movements) from all over the world. The first Congress took place in 1981 in Israel, at the University of Haifa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The most recent edition was the 14th Women’s Worlds Congress<\/strong> held at the Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo, Mozambique, in 2022. A total of 2,256 people participated in person and 831 followed the event virtually, coming from 32 countries from four continents: Africa, America, Asia and Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The proposal arises from the work that Gernika Gogoratuz<\/strong> has been carrying out with Mozambican women’s organisations, organisers and participants of the event, with regard to the visibility of their local contribution to peace-building.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
