ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, HUMAN RIGHTS AND A CULTURE OF PEACE: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION

Gernika Gogoratuz and Moviltik, together with Eskubidez and with the support of the Basque Government’s Department of Justice and Human Rights, present “Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights and a Culture of Peace: Challenges and Opportunities for Social Transformation”.

We will create a space to explore the possibilities that artificial intelligence offers social organisations, while developing criteria for using it consciously, responsibly and in ways that are consistent with human rights and a culture of peace.

We will build on the experiences and knowledge already present within the group and explore different levels of interaction with AI in a practical way, from basic conversations to working with our own sources, assistants, automations and agents.

We will then examine the political, ethical and organisational implications of AI, paying particular attention to issues such as reliability, bias, data use, autonomy, sustainability, infrastructure, power and governance.

The ultimate aim is for each participant and organisation to identify opportunities, limitations, questions and criteria that can help guide their next steps.
