The Triple Nexus and the strengthening of local agency. Jokin Alberdi Bidaguren (coord.) 2025

The Triple Nexus and the Strengthening of Local Agency: Redefining Humanitarian Action, Development and Peace’ presents contributions from over fifty members of academia, the professional sector and community leaders, focusing on conceptualisation, localisation, operationalisation and peace within debates on the triple nexus.
These contributions were gathered during the five sessions of the “Permanent Triple Nexus Seminar” held between 2023 and 2025 in the Basque Country, with funding from the Basque Government’s Agency for Cooperation and Solidarity (eLankidetza).
The aim has been to provide a space for critical perspectives on humanitarianism, development and peacebuilding from ecofeminist, decolonial and pacifist approaches aimed at strengthening community and local capacities and, in this way, to participate in and seek to influence global debates on the triple nexus.

This publication has been made possible thanks to the financial support from the Basque Agency for Cooperation and Solidarity (eLankidetza) of the Basque Government, the international NGO Ayuda en Acción, of the Centre for Studies and Actions for Peace (CEAP) and the Gernika Gogoratuz Association for Peace Research.
