Life stories, symbolic places and reconstruction of identities in peace building. XIX International Conference on Culture and Peace of Gernika

This current edition of the «XIX Jornadas Internacionales de Cultura y Paz de Gernika» called «Life stories, symbolic places and reconstruction of identities in peace building», is linked to the European research project CRIC, which celebrated its 2nd annual meeting in Gernika.

The CRIC project (2008-2012), Identity and conflict: Cultural heritage and identities reconstruction after the conflict is a cooperation program within the seventh framework programmes of the European Union (ID FP7-SSH-2007-5.2.1. Historia e identidades).

The members of this project have been: Cambridge University, the Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research, the University of Surrey and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, the Centro de Investigación por la Paz Gernika Gogoratuz, the Paris-Sorbonne University, the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), Umeå University and the Technical University of Dresden.
