Documentary: ‘Forgotten Wars: The Case of Cabo Delgado (Mozambique)’. 2023

The documentary ‘Forgotten Wars: The Case of Cabo Delgado (Mozambique)’ analyses the current situation in the province of Cabo Delgado: the external factors, the causes of the conflict and the violence afflicting the area, as well as the situations of vulnerability in a context of war.

It offers an analysis of the situation from local, global and gender perspectives, through a feminist lens. Furthermore, the documentary highlights the work of international cooperation and solidarity being carried out from the Basque Country by Mundukide and Gernika Gogoratuz.

Finally, it presents a series of lessons learnt and recommendations for the future.

The interviews featured in the documentary have been approached from a rights-based and gender perspective, emphasising the triple nexus approach (humanitarian action, development and peace).
